Cinderella (f) – our heroine & title character. Buttons is her best friend. Very put upon but always optimistic and friends with everyone.

Buttons (m) – all-round dogsbody working for the Stepmother, everyone’s best friend, especially Cinderella – they always stick together against the Stepmother & Stepsisters.

Prince Charming (f) – the world’s most eligible bachelor. Handsome, charming (obviously !) and very at ease with being in the public eye – if only people would leave him alone about getting married…

Dandini (f) – Prince Charming’s best friend and “chief of staff”, very organized, just as charming as the Prince but doesn’t necessarily get the attention. Absolutely not intimidated by anyone, including the Stepmother.

Bitz & Bobz (1 x m, 1 x f) – two members of Prince Charming’s entourage, get given all the rubbish jobs to do and (in regular comedy team fashion) are trying to earn extra money any way they can.

Cinderella’s Stepmother – The baddy of the piece, snooty & self-important, considers herself and her daughters to be better than everyone else, and wants to keep Cinderella firmly in her place.

Cinderella’s Ugly Stepsisters – two panto dames, when they’re not being horrible to Cinderella, they’re being horrible to each other.

Fairy Godmother (f) – basically your loveliest auntie, could be any age but will have to disguise herself as a frail old lady in the first half.
